Attorney Michael J. Meara presently focuses his legal work on Residential and Commercial Real Estate Law, along with Will and Probate issues.

Michael spent his first six years after graduating from law school as an Assistant District Attorney representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in hundreds of bail hearings, criminal conferences, motion hearings, bench trials and jury trials before entering private civil practice.  He has extensive experience in criminal defense, civil actions, employment discrimination law and numerous other areas of the law both in solo practice and as a member of the Law Firm of Peter P. Fenton.

Attorney Meara has been associated with the Law Office of Attorney John J. Leahy, Jr. since 2005 primarily focusing on Residential and Commercial Real Estate Law.

Mr. Meara has also been previously employed by the City of Springfield School Department, the United States Census Bureau and has served as an Election Warden for the City of Springfield, Massachusetts since 1999.
